This is a really good icemaker. I don't think I would spend this much on an icemaker though. The best feature is being able to start it remotely. That has a lot of value. I can use my phone's app or talk to my devices throughout my house and tell it to start making ice. About 20 to 30 minutes later its ready. It also can be used for drinking water. You can pick the water temperature.
It displays the water's TDS level. That is the Total dissolved solids (TDS) is measured as a volume of water with the unit milligrams per liter (mg/L), otherwise known as parts per million (ppm). It is good to know what that level is. Its also concerning that my tap water is at the top of the acceptable level lol. You may want to use filter water using this. After seeing my TDS levels I will be.
It has the quick glass fill-up presets. It doesn't have ice fill-up presets. You need to start and stop the ice filling. It fills a glass quickly so you need to be paying attention. It does not fit a large water bottle. The ice shape is nice.
I don't understand the ice "basket"/access on the top. The directions refer to it as a basket, but there is no good way to retrieve it from the top. There is no scoop or easy way to pull it out. Its more like its just there to see how full it is.
This isn't cheap. I think this is a great mini appliance, but I can't see myself paying this much for it. You would really need to want the remote start feature to justify it.
